Subject: Late Renewal
I think the misconception is that a 1951 film renewed in 1980 is a valid renewal. Regardless of when it was released, at about 1:20 the film clearly shows a valid notice dated 1951.

Subject: Copyright Notice
I was sent this notice from barry.goold@warnerbros.com of Warner Bros. Entertainment:

"Jack and the Beanstalk was registered and renewed with the US Copyright Office, although there is a common misconception that it was not renewed. The renewal is at RE 136-766."

A jolly good version of an old tale.
Suitable for all ages.

Subject: Blast from the past
Not old enough to have seen it in a theater but definitely remember it from TV as a kid.

A little borrowing from Wiz of OZ as far as B&W reality and Color fantasy with the added bit of the color being added bit by bit in the transition scene.

Skipped through the so so music numbers, but an entertaining bit of A&C.
